Brescia in the running for European Green Capital 2028
Brescia has entered the European challenge to become Green Capital 2028. It’s among the 17 cities selected by the European Commission.
This is a real competition, with cities from all over Europe and clear criteria: cleaner air, better waste management, more biodiversity, and concrete action against climate change.
The first selection will take place in July, followed by the final decision.
The verdict will be announced on October 8 in Guimarães.
There’s also €600,000 at stake for new environmental projects.
But the point is this: Brescia isn’t applying just to take part. It’s applying to raise the bar—and to do it for real, as it always has.
