MTB ADVENTURES TO EXPERIENCE
In the province of Brescia, the bicycle is more than just a means of transport — it’s a way of experiencing the mountains. Between legendary climbs, dirt roads waiting to be explored, and views that open up unexpectedly, every route is an adventure to be conquered with your own strength. From the GreenWay of the Resilient Valleys to the Gavia Pass, from Mount Guglielmo to the Garda trails, every pedal stroke here tells a story.
MTB GREENWAY - RESILIENT VALLEYS
Feel like getting your wheels dirty and conquering the mountains? The GreenWay of the “Resilient Valleys” is Brescia's answer to bikers hungry for real trails. From the city to the ridges of Val Trompia and Val Sabbia, mule tracks, forests, dirt tracks and unfiltered views await you. Here you take on technical routes, with significant elevation gains and nature that takes your breath away. Each stage is different, each descent an adrenalin rush. There’s room for the slow and steady, and for those who want to push hard. Well-equipped stage points, bike-friendly accommodation and villages that smell of mountains. The GreenWay isn’t a route: it’s a network that unites territories and passions. Suitable for muscular MTBs and e-bikes, with various levels of difficulty. If you want to sweat in style, you've come to the right place.
GAVIA PASS CLIMB
This isn’t just a climb: it’s a test of character. The Gavia is a name that makes every cyclist's legs tremble and eyes light up. From Ponte di Legno, the road climbs 17 kilometres to an altitude of 2,621 metres. It’s a historic challenge which has become legendary thanks to the Giro d'Italia and its heroes. There’s no ignoring the gradient and you’re soon out of breath, but the views are your reward. Rocks, glaciers, endless valleys: every metre is a pure conquest. You can tackle it with a road or mountain bike, but you need training and a good head on your shoulders. You don't get to the Gavia by chance: you get there because you really want to. And once at the top, you’re a different person.
LIMONE - TREMALZO - NOTA PASS
This isn’t a simple trail: it’s a vertical challenge. From Limone sul Garda to the Nota Pass, via Tremosine, with an elevation gain of 1,700 m in just 4 km. A climb that shows no mercy, between live rock, tight bends and shortness of breath. You can't improvise here: you need strong legs, sound technique and real focus. But if you make it to the top, the reward is huge. Wild woods, impenetrable silence and the Alto Garda that stretches out below you. Every stage is pure exertion, every stop a view that stays with you. You don’t talk flippantly about this trail. You talk about it with sweat on your skin and your heart fit to burst. Because here you don't just pedal. Here you show who you are.
FROM EDOLO TO PIZ TRI
A climb that speaks of history and conquest. You start in Edolo and climb up to the 2,300 m Piz Tri on a loop that takes over six hours to complete. The trail follows the traces of the Great War, between mule tracks, pine trees and hard rocks. You soon notice the fatigue, but also the beauty of the place. At the summit, the horizon opens up to reveal the peaks of Bernina, Monte Rosa, Ortles and Adamello. Each pedal stroke is a step in time, each bend a test of willpower. It takes strong legs, but above all it takes the will to go further. With your MTB or mountain e-bike, you really climb high here.
But what you take home isn’t just a view: it’s the definite feeling that you’ve done something that matters.
PONTE DI LEGNO - MONTECAMPIONE BIKE PARKS
Here your bike doesn’t always hug the ground. With jumps, drops, wallrides and pure adrenaline, the Tonale-Ponte di Legno and Montecampione bike parks are something different. Gravity, enduro, flow: each track is an invitation to push harder, to let go. Active installations, clear signposts, bends to be tamed with style. Here you fly, you make mistakes, you start again. And you laugh, a lot. Montecampione also has a kids park for little ones, with instructors who teach while having fun. Each day is full of energy, freedom and breathtaking views. And afterwards, mountain huts and alpine pastures await so you can refuel properly. This isn’t just a bike park. It’s a park for those who dare.
Because sometimes, to feel alive, you just have to let go of the brakes.
THE CIVIDATE CAMUNO LOOP TRAIL
You don't need to climb mountains to have an adventure. A 13 km loop is enough to feel part of the real Camonica Valley. This easy route, almost all dirt road, passes through Esine, Berzo Inferiore, Bienno and Breno. It requires little effort, for a whole lot of beauty. You cycle through fields, woods and ancient traces of history, such as the Cividate Archaeological Park. Every bend is a discovery, every stretch respite from the commotion of the world. It’s perfect for getting started, rediscovering cycling, or enjoying the valley at a leisurely pace. You can do it by MTB, gravel bike or e-bike. But don't do it in a hurry. Because this loop doesn’t challenge you. It accompanies you. And it teaches you that sometimes it doesn’t take much to feel really great.
MONTI DI CERVENO
This trail isn’t for those looking for short-cuts. It’s 26 kilometres, with an elevation gain of almost 1,000 metres, which you’ll certainly feel. Starting in Breno, it climbs to Cerveno, passes through Lozio and returns to Malegno. In between: dirt tracks, tough climbs, shady paths and a refreshment stop that smells of the mountains. Then comes the descent: fast, free, with an uninterrupted view of the Lozio Valley. Every climb has a reason. Every descent a reward. Here your MTB is a faithful companion, and every stretch demands attention, but offers genuine thrills in return. It isn’t a challenge for experts only, but neither is it a walk in the park. It’s the kind of trail that makes you return home stronger, and with another tale to tell.
MONTE GUGLIELMO
Guglielmo isn’t a mountain. It’s an idea. They call it 'the mountain of the Brescians', but once you conquer it, it’s also a little bit yours. You start from Lake Iseo - Marone, Sulzano or Zone - and climb. And you really do climb! 25 km and 1,440 m of elevation gain, through forests, clearings and stretches that test your legs and your head too. The effort required is unrelenting, never trivial. At the summit, at 1,957 m, the world stretches out before you: lake, valleys, clear sky. Breathe hard. Look as far as the eye can see. And then you’ll understand why it was worth it. It takes respect, training, determination. Guglielmo doesn’t make it easy for anyone. But those who reach the top... never forget it.
