The route
Trail 7 winds its way around Brescia Castle, offering a route that follows ancient historic streets, passes through vineyards, and offers panoramic views of the urban and natural landscape.
At the beginning, one of the variants starts from Via Colle Fiorito, going up towards Via Luigi Beretta and entering a path known as “Sentier Morto”. Here the cultivated fields, with poppies and thistles, alternate with the forest, accompanying the hiker to the point where the route converges under the Goletto.
Another “branch” of the route begins at a crossroads between Via del Goletto and Via Val di Ledro, following a more “pot-bellied” route that skirts Ronco Roggero, descends towards Rocco Gallia and climbs back up towards Piazzale del Goletto. In this section the trail is surrounded by dense vegetation, with shrubs and trees that protect against the summer heat.
When you reach Via Buttafuoco, the route crosses Path 6 and continues towards the historic steps of Viale dei Caduti, which leads to the Church of San Gottardo. From there, the paths of paths 6 and 7 overlap for a stretch: you pass between Cascina Termini and the Farnie, then you enter the so-called Vita Path, where exercise equipment is arranged between chestnut and elm trees. After crossing the Garzetta stream, the forest gradually gives way to clearings such as the Rasega, where other paths are grafted (5, 13, Downhill, Sentiero delle Pozze). Trail 7 finally ends in the meadows of Cascina Margherita, near the mirrored waters of Pozza Margherita.
