From Guido Alberini Park to Sam Quilleri Park (and back)

It’s first on the list, and not by chance. This is where it all began: the idea of walking to discover a greener, closer, more vibrant Brescia, just as happened with “CamminaForesteUrbane 2023”.

The route is a loop that brushes past the historic centre, embracing both new and old parks: those that were created where the city walls once stood (Turati, Falcone–Borsellino, Zanardelli) and those that signal a changing city (Pescheto, Gallo, Tarello, Alberini).

And then there’s the star: Colle Cidneo. A mandatory passage, but above all an emotional one. With the castle gardens and the Montagnola as a backdrop, it’s the highest point – not just in altitude, but in beauty.

This is the most urban route of all, but also one of the richest. Between historic parks, tree-lined avenues and unexpected corners, you discover a Brescia that lets itself be crossed without haste and without ever becoming boring.

Brescia Castle

Carmine district
Old workshops, creative venues, art everywhere. Here the sacred and the profane meet: Santa Maria del Carmine, the Basilica delle Grazie, Santi Faustino e Giovita, but also C.AR.M.E. – the Centre for Multicultural and Ethnosocial Arts – and the art-house cinema Nuovo Eden. An ancient heart beating strongly in the present.

AmbienteParco
A science park for learning through play – and breathing sustainability. A place where you touch, experiment and experience, with five interactive pavilions and a green area equipped with play structures.

The route passes twice near MetroBS Stazione and crosses MetroBS San Faustino. All neighbourhoods are served by urban bus lines, so it’s easy to start or stop wherever you like.
