The Teatro San Desiderio is a small theatre space in Brescia, located at Via Gabriele Rosa n° 4. Born from the renovation of an ancient deconsecrated church, it is now managed by the Scena Sintetica association and hosts shows and cultural activities.
THE PLACE
Scena Sintetica is a Brescia-based theater association active since 1986. It began as a cultural program and is now a volunteer organization that researches, poetics, and synthesizes theater across diverse languages. The theatre is located in the small church of San Desiderio, restored and transformed into a stage space in the heart of the city.
Here the scene is nourished by light, sound, color and ritual, the theatrical vision opens up to deep reflection and audience participation, transforming each show into an event of thought as well as emotion.
The program offers original productions, contemporary drama projects, and engaging performances, supported by workshops and training programs.
It is a collected and intense place, where actors and spectators share a direct and authentic relationship. A theater that does not entertain, but rather raises questions, invites participation, and cultivates culture as a living and concrete practice.
