One of Brescia's major cultural symbols, Teatro Grande theatre has a history stretching back more than three centuries and offers a refined and stimulating environment perfect not only for enjoying a show but also for indulging in a special break.
THE THEATER
Founded in the 17th century with the Accademia degli Erranti, rebuilt internally in the early 19th century and currently recognised as one of Italy's traditional theatres, Teatro Grande hosts a busy programme of productions, events and initiatives that make it a popular destination for both locals and visitors.
Contributing to this popularity is also the theatre's tendency to open its doors not only for billed shows, but also to allow guided tours and inclusive workshops for the most diverse audiences.
Moreover, thanks to the theatre café, Caffè del Teatro Grande - Berlucchi, which is open at weekends, you can enjoy breakfast, a snack or an aperitif in a special place with a unique atmosphere.
