The contemporary goes down to the garage. In Brescia, even a parking lot is transformed into a place of culture.
THE WORK
From 1° October 2021, the garage of the Agenzia Generali Brescia Castello will house a permanent site-specific installation by Peter Halley (New York, 1953), created in collaboration with the students of the Accademia SantaGiulia.
The artist transformed the pillars into fluorescently colored columns, creating an immersive environment that dialogues with the urban space. The project is part of the Art Drive-In project, the nucleus of the future Pinacoteca Drive-In, an unconventional museum also accessible by car.
Here geometric abstraction meets the city. Here art leaves museums and becomes a daily experience.
