THE PLACE
Brescia Underground was officially born in 2006, but everything started much earlier. From a trapdoor in a cloister, from the sound of water flowing underfoot, from the curiosity of young people who grew up listening to the hidden breath of the city. Those waterways are called Bova and Celato, and they are part of Brescia's most invisible history.
Today Brescia Underground APS is responsible for the protection and enhancement of the rivers that flow underground through the historic center. Garza, Bova, Celato, Dragone, Molin del Brolo, Garzetta, Canevrella, Canalone and many other canals once flowed in the sunlight, serving artisans and city life.
The association conducts expeditions, surveys, archival studies, installations, conferences, and photography campaigns, collaborating with organizations and professionals in the sector. With the support of the Municipality of Brescia and the surrounding area, it offers safely authorized guided tours, offering a cultural and adventurous experience together.
It's a journey into the city's most layered history.
