The State Conservatory “Luca Marenzio” of Brescia has two locations: one in the city and one in Darfo Boario Terme, in the heart of the Camonica Valley.
THE STORY
The Darfo headquarters, founded in 1978, is located in the former Querinian Convent, an eighteenth-century building commissioned by Cardinal Angelo Maria Querini and built between 1721 and 1729. Born as a training ground for local young women, the complex –after the Napoleonic events– has been brought back to life thanks to careful restoration.
Today it houses 17 study rooms with multimedia stations and a 100-seat auditorium with a pipe organ, a space dedicated to concert and educational activities. It's music growing in a place that has always taught us to look far away.
