Opera Festival 2026: Brescia becomes an open-air theatre
Brescia is singing again. And it’s doing so everywhere.
On Saturday 6 June, the Opera Festival returns to take over the city and transform it into a vast open-air theatre. From dawn until midnight, the most beloved arias from the operatic repertoire will fill the streets, squares and courtyards, performed by Italian and international artists.
The theme for 2026 is ‘Conflicts’. An invitation to look within the tensions of our time, through the power of opera. And to do so in the most diverse of settings: squares, churches, the underground, historic buildings, balconies, private homes, theatres, auditoriums, and spaces dedicated to care and solidarity.
Because in Brescia, beauty does not stay in one place. It circulates.
And it doesn’t end there. On Friday 5 June, a special preview will bring music to the city’s most socially significant venues.
Save the date.
