THE RACE

Founded in 1927, the competition follows a route starting and finishing in Brescia that reaches Rome and crosses central and northern Italy, clocking up around 1,600 kilometres, the equivalent of 1,000 miles.

More than four hundred iconic cars tear past breathtaking scenery, delivering the thrill of a bygone era: a real pride and joy of Brescia, today's Mille Miglia is the perfect opportunity to soak up the atmosphere of a challenge from days gone by and to savour a unique, enthralling experience guaranteed to captivate both motoring enthusiasts and the merely curious.

Since 2004, spectators have also been able to complete the experience with a visit to the Mille Miglia Museum, an exhibition of four-wheeled gems that is certain to delight families too.
