Peace Festival
Europe is a crossroads of stories, a laboratory, constantly evolving, born from common roots that have intertwined, overlapped, and collided over time. From this crossroads, a precise choice emerged: peace as a shared goal that is not limited to norms or treaties, but which gives shape to a common sentiment.
The theme of the Peace Festival comes from a simple, powerful idea: peace isn't just the pause between conflicts or a distant moral ideal. It's a political, cultural, and civic project - and a real experience of living together. Peace is something we build every day: in our neighborhoods, our schools, our cultural spaces, our associations, and all across our town. The town itself becomes the first laboratory of democracy, showing how we can manage conflict without violence. That’s why the organizations behind the Peace Festival are launching a broad, cross-party call for participation, inviting public bodies, schools, religious and cultural institutions, associations, and third-sector groups from across Brescia to join in.
The Peace Festival is not just a review, it is much more: a space of thought, an opportunity to come back to ask ourselves who we are and to imagine together who we want to become. This is where the theme 2026 comes from: Democracy, Justice, and Future.
