From June 11 to August 30, the Diocesan Museum of Brescia hosts "Fabio Maria Linari. The Impetus of the Sign", an exhibition dedicated to the artist from La Spezia who lived in Brescia for a long time and who has been able to reinterpret the great masterpieces of local Renaissance painting with an expressive and contemporary language.
Through the cycle Apparuit Homo, Linari reinterprets the works of Moretto and Romanino, transforming them into powerful images marked by incisive gestures, intense colors, and essential figures. A journey that reflects on themes of identity, memory, and representation, relating sacred art, expressionism, and current issues such as cancel culture.
The exhibition is part of the MAB 2026 project promoted by the cultural institutes of the Diocese of Brescia.
