The route
Trail 3 starts from Viale Bornata, which is a fairly long road. Near Via Santelle / Via Sanson there is a concrete and stone staircase that leads to the actual start of the path.
Along the way you pass historic farmsteads such as Cascina della Noce and the restored Cascina Colombara, as well as rural areas that still preserve a traditional atmosphere.
Further along the route you enter the woods of the Valle Tavareda and walk on old cobbled roads, past dry stone walls, shaded sections and typical wooded vegetation.
There are junctions where you can choose whether to head towards Trail 4 (Senterù Bas) or continue on Trail 3, which carries on through the forest following official waymarks, until it rejoins Trail 12.
You cross a valley known as Val del Pericol, with steep terrain, slippery canals and wooded passages.
The trail then reaches an intersection with Trail 12 (the description indicates an elevation of 418 metres at this point) and from there continues towards the endpoint of the route.
