Once a church and convent, today the 15th-century Cavallerizza complex hosts exhibitions, workshops, events, and meetings designed to introduce the public to Italian photography.

THE CENTER

The Center's headquarters has a history as interesting as the activities that take place within it: first a religious site, then a college, and later a noble riding stable, the building designed by Luigi Donegani retains a majestic neoclassical façade embellished with equestrian motifs and continues to house centuries of transformation.

Furthermore, in addition to the Center's activities, the Cavallerizza also houses the prized "Biblioteca Amaduzzi," one of the most prestigious photographic publishing collections in Italy: an invaluable treasure for anyone who enjoys retracing the history of images printed on paper.

Between the effervescent richness of the events that unfold within the complex and the frescoes and inscriptions that testify to the ancient soul of the place, the Cavallerizza and the Center successfully intertwine local past and artistic present through experiences curated down to the smallest details.
