On June 7th and 8th, the Duende Festival opens with Seven Deaths of Maria Callas, a film by Nabil Elderkin based on a project by Marina Abramović, featuring Willem Dafoe and music by Marko Nikodijević.
The opera intertwines seven famous arias performed by Maria Callas, transforming the myth of the great soprano into an immersive experience of music, image, and theater.
An intense and visionary work in which Marina Abramović reflects on love, loss, memory, and death, starting from her personal and artistic connection with the figure of Maria Callas.
