Bologna, an elderly woman is found murdered in her apartment. Shortly after, a boy falls from scaffolding. Two cases that seem already solved, but not to Chief Superintendent Antonio Petrella nor to Vera Rodari. The two investigations will end up intersecting, just like their lives. Years before, Vera was a girl dealing with a residence permit to renew, Antonio, the first policeman who had helped her.
