On 25 March, Brescia celebrates Dantedì, the day dedicated to Dante Alighieri, with a programme combining culture, discovery and social occasions.
The afternoon begins with special guided tours: students from the city’s secondary schools will lead the public on a tour of 12 ‘Dante-themed’ locations across the city, including churches, museums and historic buildings, to explain the link between Brescia and the Divine Comedy.
At 6.30 pm, at the Diocesan Museum, a lecture by Dante scholar Gianfranco Bondioni explores contemporary interpretations of the Comedy. Following this, the evening continues with a Dante-inspired aperitif, combining fine food, culture and socialising.
