The Roman Theatre opens its construction site to the city

On Friday 27 March and 24 April, the gates of the UNESCO Corridor, in Vicolo del Fontanone, will be thrown open for a special occasion. Not for an exhibition. Not for an event. But to enter the heart of the excavations, curated by the Superintendence of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the provinces of Bergamo and Brescia.

From 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., citizens and visitors will be able to take a close look at the work of archaeologists as they bring the ancient structures of the theatre back to light. Here, the past is not a memory. It is an open construction site.

At 3:00 p.m., there will be a free guided tour with archaeologist Francesca Pagliuso. To participate, reservations are required through the CUP - Centro Unico Prenotazioni (Central Booking Office): +39 030 817 4200 - cup@bresciamusei.com

In Brescia, the past does not stand still. It is rediscovered. Together.
