On Saturday 28 March, the Tosio Martinengo Art Gallery will host the opening of the exhibition “The Winged Victory of Brescia: 40 Photographers and an Eternal Beauty”, curated by Giovanna Calvenzi.
The exhibition, organised by Fondazione Brescia Musei, brings together the work of forty photographers who, in recent years, have reinterpreted the Winged Victory as a timeless icon. Among the featured artists: Gabriele Basilico, Giovanni Gastel, Franco Fontana and Paolo Ventura.
An event marking one of the key moments in the celebrations for the 200th anniversary of the sculpture’s discovery, with the participation of curators and representatives from the city’s cultural scene.
