Francesca Alleruzzo ParkVia Michelangelo, 25124, Brescia (BS)
A park with a name and a meaning. In Brescia, in the San Polo Parco district, green space becomes memory and meeting place.
THE PARK
Francesca Alleruzzo Park is located in the San Polo Parco district, in the eastern area of Brescia. It is a public neighbourhood park — an open green space where people walk, meet and spend time outdoors within their community.
The park is named after Francesca Alleruzzo, born in Brescia in 1967 and a primary school teacher at the “Raffaello Sanzio” school. A mother of four daughters and a resident of the neighbourhood itself, Francesca is remembered with affection and appreciation by the local community. The naming of the park was approved by the City Council at the request of the San Polo Parco District Council, with the aim of strengthening the sense of belonging and firmly reaffirming the condemnation of all forms of violence against women.
It is a place of everyday greenery and community life. A park that preserves memory and welcomes local life.
