Italian Red Cross Park

Italian Red Cross Park Via Ottaviano Montini, 25133, Brescia (BS)
The great green space of Mompiano. An urban woodland in the heart of the neighbourhood. In Brescia, open space becomes a breath of fresh air.
THE PLACE
Italian Red Cross Park is located in the Mompiano district, between Via Nikolajewka, Via Pietro Calamandrei, Via Ottaviano Montini and Via della Lama. Opened to the public in spring 2013, it covers approximately 77,000 square metres, making it one of the largest parks in the city.
Designed as a true urban woodland, it is home to more than 1,200 native trees and shrubs, including oaks, ash trees and manna ashes. Wide lawn areas alternate with pedestrian paths that cross the park, encouraging walks, light activities and moments of rest immersed in greenery.
The park was created as part of an urban and environmental regeneration project, with the aim of integrating nature into the residential fabric. Its open and natural layout makes it an accessible space enjoyed by families, students and local residents.
It is a contemporary green lung.
A place where Mompiano finds balance between city and nature.
