Europe is a crossroads of stories, a laboratory in continuous evolution, born from common roots that over time have intertwined, overlapped, and clashed. From this crossroads, a precise choice was born: peace as a shared goal that is not limited to rules or treaties, but shapes a common sentiment.
From November 13 to 29, Brescia hosts the 9th edition of the Peace Festival 2026, dedicated to the relationship between democracy, justice, and peace. The Festival invites reflection on the present and future of democratic institutions, comparing ideas and perspectives on the major issues of our time. The theme arises from a clear vision: peace not as a pause between two conflicts, nor as a simple moral wish, but as a political, cultural, and civil project and as an experience of shared citizenship. Peace is built every day: in neighborhoods, in schools, in cultural places, in associations, in services, in urban spaces.
A program that involves Italian and international guests, to explore the meaning of democracy through different languages and viewpoints. The Peace Festival is not just a showcase; it is much more: a space for thought, an opportunity to ask ourselves who we are and to imagine together who we want to become. From here arises the 2026 theme: Democracy, justice, and future.

The initiative is promoted by the Municipality and Province of Brescia, organized by the Presidency of the Municipal Council, under the high patronage of the European Parliament, the Italian Red Cross, and Amnesty International.
