On the occasion of the bicentennial of the discovery of the "Vittoria Alata", the Queriniana Library tells the story of the famous symbol of Brescia through original documents, chronicles, engravings, photographs, and archival materials. From its discovery in the Capitolium in 1826 to the recent restoration, the journey retraces the events of the statue and its transformation into the emblem of the city, showcasing the deep connection between the Winged Victory, Brescia, and its collective memory.
