An excellent facility dedicated to the high level of women's major apparatus and the Olympic preparation of Italian gymnasts, the International Gymnastics Center is the new artistic gymnastics facility where the athletes of the National Artistic Team can carry out their preparation for sports performances.
THE ARTISTIC GYMNASTICS FACILITY
The project was created to provide the city with a specialized sports environment, capable of integrating spaces for sports activities, support services, and hospitality areas into a single structure.
The central core of the intervention is the new 1,250 square meter gym, equipped for women's artistic gymnastics (WAG) and designed to host gatherings, technical workshops, and training activities. Not a space suitable for hosting competitions or events open to the public, but rather a place dedicated and equipped for the growth of future gymnastic talents.
Next to the main gym in Sanpolino, a second space of 117 square meters has been created for warming up and athletic preparation, directly connected to the six changing rooms, four for athletes and two for instructors, and to the first aid room, ensuring functional continuity during the different phases of training. The guesthouse, canteen, kitchen, and other service areas complete a facility that makes hospitality its strong point. On the first floor, there are 16 rooms, with a total of 42 beds, as well as a large room available, designed to allow athletes to balance sports activities with school commitments. The building fully meets accessibility requirements, ensuring full usability of all areas.
With this new facility, Brescia becomes the Capital of Italian Gymnastics athletes.
