De André Festival 2026: songs and words against war in Brescia
From October 3 to 11, the De André Festival returns to Brescia, the widespread cultural event dedicated to the musical and poetic legacy of Fabrizio De André.
The seventh edition, titled “A Thousand Red Poppies. Songs Against War,” focuses on a theme that runs through the entire work of the Genoese singer-songwriter: the rejection of war and the desire for peace.
The program includes concerts, readings, meetings, workshops, and performances in various locations around the city, from Librixia to the cloister of the University of Brescia, from Teatro Borsoni to Cascina Parco Gallo.
Among the events, a large marathon of readings against war, the recital-concert Piero and the Vulture and the traditional final collective singing dedicated to De André.
