NoteSpeak (In a Word) is a musical project that intertwines jazz, afrofuturism, dodecaphony, electronics, and spoken word poetry. The initiative explores how language can bridge divides and inspire empathy. Themes range from environmental conservation and sustainability to social unity and resilience in times of division. On stage, Lisa Marie Simmons, a poet, singer-songwriter, and award-winning performer, meets the piano, keyboards, and arrangements of Marco Cremaschini, a jazz pianist, co-composer, and arranger. With them, Federico Negri on drums, Marco Cocconi on electric and acoustic bass, and Manuel Caliumi on bass clarinet and sax.
