The Church of Santa Maria del Carmine opens its doors to paths through art, history, and memory. Two appointments, at 5 pm and 9 pm, dedicated to the visit of the Cappella Parva, with an in-depth discussion by art historian Prof. Alessandra Corna Pellegrini. At 7.15 pm, in the Salone del Crocifisso, guide Elena Frosio leads the audience in the meeting "The Capture of Ventura Fenaroli in Santa Maria del Carmine": a dialogue between art and history surrounding the painting by Francesco Hayez. In January 1512, the condottiero Ventura Fenaroli sought refuge in the family chapel in Santa Maria del Carmine. Here he was captured. Three centuries later, Francesco Hayez transformed that episode into a grand historical painting. An opportunity to relive the events where they happened.
